05.10.2016 - The Australian dollar rose on the background of strong retail sales data

The price of the Australian dollar showed growth after was published the data on retail sales in Australia that in August rose by 0.4%, vs. expected 0.2% and zero growth in the previous month. It should be noted that this fact was able to maintain quotes despite the strengthening of the US dollar and the fall in the price of gold, which is one of the key export commodities. According to our estimates, the growth potential is low, and the negative dynamics will resume in the near future. Our medium-term outlook remains negative.
