06.06.2016 - Technical view on stock indexes

The price of the futures on the American stock index S&P500 continued consolidation around the level of 2100, but could not overcome the local maximum around 2006. A possible increase in the near future is limited by the levels of 2120 and 2135. A more likely scenario, according to our forecasts is the beginning of a significant price correction in the near future with potential targets at 2040 and 2000. Our forecast for the coming weeks remains negative.

The price of the futures on the German stock index DAX30 has broken through the support level at 10150 and fixing below it will be the reason for the fall of quotations with closest targets at 9800 and 9600. In case of resumption of growth, quotes will return to resistance at 10500. Our medium-term outlook remains positive, but we expect continued negative dynamics in the near future.

The price of the futures on the Japanese stock index Nikkei225 has shown a strong decline as a result of which reached the support at 16300, but was unable to break it and rebounded upwards. Within the current upward impulse, quotes can reach the levels of 16800 and 17250. In order to continue the negative dynamics quotes need to break through 16300, and in this case, we expect the fall to 15850. In the near future the decline will probably continue, but the medium-term outlook remains negative.
