06.09.2016 - General Electric wants to buy the 3-D printing equipment manufacturers

The American company General Electric announced its intention to acquire two manufacturers of equipment for 3-D printing Arcam AB and SLM Solution Group AG for 1.4 billion dollars. Regulators must approve the deal if the company wins in a public tender for the purchase of shares of these companies. This step will strengthen its position in the industry and will reduce the cost of production of some products. Despite the positive effect of this news, we keep a medium-term negative outlook with the potential of reduction by 20%.
