07.05.2014 - Unemployment in New Zealand has not changed

The New Zealand dollar after a strong growth fell sharply on the statement of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand. The head of the Bank Graeme Wheeler said that he is ready to use monetary interventions in case of continued growth of the national currency against decrease in export prices and worsening of fundamental indicators.

In addition, have been published the data on unemployment in New Zealand, which has remained unchanged at 6.0%, despite the forecast of a decline to 5.8%. At the same time, the employment rate for Q1 increased by 0.9% compared with an expected growth of 0.6%.

To determine the further movement we need to wait for stabilization of the situation and get the new signals.
