Microsoft has announced plans to cut 7,800 workers and write off about 80% of the purchase price of shares of the Finnish company Nokia. This step caused by weak data of handset manufacturer. The company decided to move from the business development strategy for the production of phone lines to the development of family of devices. Most of the cuts will be made in the segment of the production of handsets. We expect a decline in the share price of Microsoft in the near future, but maintain a medium-term positive outlook with growth potential by 22-25% per annum.
