09.03.2016 - Data from Britain have pleased investors
Today, the price of the British pound showed growth after the recent decline, which was due to the publication of statistics on industrial production in the country, which grew for the first time in 3 months. Thus, the growth rate in January was 0.3%, against a decline of 1.1% in the previous month. Analysts expected an increase by 0.6%. The volume of production in the manufacturing industry grew by 0.7%, which is 0.5% more than the forecast. Despite the positive statistics, according to our forecasts the growth potential is limited due to the pressure of speculation regarding a referendum on the country's membership in the European Union on 23 June. Our medium-term outlook remains pessimistic and we look forward to the resumption of the negative dynamics in the near future.
