09.07.2014 - Citi probably will pay about 7 billion on the case of mortgage loans

On the market appeared rumors about the imminent decision of a question on the payment of $ 7 billion to the U.S. Department of Justice in connection with the case on doubtful mortgage loans issued by the bank before the crisis. Reaching an agreement between the two parties could be announced next week.

Earlier it was reported that the bank was willing to pay $ 4 billion, and the Department of Justice demanded 10 billion. Considering the fact that JP Morgan Chase paid 13 billion in November and continued the growth, we expect further increase of the stock price of the bank in the medium term by 5-7%.
