10.03.2016 - Technical view on stock indexes

The price of the futures on the American stock index S&P500 continues to consolidate near the important level of 1990. At the moment, quotations are moving along the inclined line of resistance and in case of its breaking the negative dynamics will continue until 1950, 1910 and 1860. In case of the rebound from the sloping support line, quotations will continue to rise until 2020 and 2050. We forecast strong price movement after a long consolidation.

Nearest resistance levels: 2000, 2020, 2050, 2065, 2080

Nearest levels of support: 1990, 1950, 1910, 1860, 1820, 1800, 1780, 1750, 1720

The price of the futures on the German stock index DAX30 moves around the range 9600-9800. Fixation above the level of 9800 will be the reason for opening long positions with the potential growth to 10150 and 10800. Within the fall prices may return to the lower boundary of the rising channel and then the fall may continue until 9100 and 8800. Our medium-term outlook remains negative.

Nearest resistance levels: 9800, 10150, 10400, 10800, 11000, 11200

Nearest levels of support: 9100, 9000, 8500, 7900, 7500

The price of the futures on the Japanese stock index Nikkei225 increases inside the rising channel and in the near future can reach the resistance level at 17250, after overcoming of which the nearest levels will be 17500 and 18000. In case of breaking of the bottom of the channel and support at 16300, the fall is likely to continue to 15700 and 15000. Our medium-term outlook remains positive.
