12.01.2016 - The fall of the British pound continued

Statistics from the UK today, disappointed investors. Thus, industrial production in November decreased by 0.7%. Experts expect no change in this indicator. The main reasons that negatively affected the industrial production was a decline in the manufacturing sector, the reduction of gas production in the North Sea, as well as weak demand for gas and electricity because of mild weather. As a result, quotes of the British pound broke through the level of 1.4500 and continued to decline with the potential to reach the level of 1.4000. Our medium-term outlook remains negative.
