12.05.2015 - Data on the UK industry pleased investors

The growth of the British pound which began after the parliamentary elections in the country in which the ruling Conservative Party has won, accelerated after today's publication of unexpectedly strong data on industrial production. So, in March indicator has risen to 0.5%, which was the highest rate in the past six months. Analysts predicted that the volume of industrial production in the country will not change. In February, the index rose by 0.1%. The highest growth of price was recorded in the sector of oil and gas production - by 4.9%. It is worth recalling that economic growth in the UK slowed in the first quarter of this year to 0.3%, while for 2014 the GDP grew by 2.8%. We expect improvement of macroeconomic indicators in the country and maintain a medium-term positive outlook for the UK stock indexes.
