Volkswagen AG stated sales growth of automobiles under the same brand by 4%. The reason for the increase was the growth in figure of sales in the Asia-Pacific region and Western Europe. In July, the number of vehicles sold totaled 491.600 compared to 472.800 in the same period of the last year. Since the beginning of the year, the volume of vehicles sold rose to 3.6 million.
The company stated that they have problems in certain categories of the auto market, but sales in China increased by 18% (1.6 million сars). In Europe, the corporation has sold about 1 million сars under the same brand. At the same time in Eastern Europe, the realization fell by 5.6% to 146.300, and in Russia by 16%. The comparable figure in the United States decreased by 14% to 209.700 cars, and in Brazil by 15%, to 301.800.
It is worth recalling that the largest automobile market at the moment is the Chinese and the company's success in this region give reason to hold the shares of the company in the long term investment portfolio with growth potential of 12-15% by the end of the year.
