13.11.2014 - Statistics from China disappointed investors

The main event for the Asian markets this week was the data on industrial production in the country in October. Despite the expectation of preserving annual growth rates of 8.0% per year, the statistics showed a slowdown to 7.7%. Also today was published retail sales data which also showed a slowdown to 11.5%, which is 0.1% worse than expected and the previous index. Investments in fixed assets showed an increase of 15.9% in October, which is 0.2% less than in September. The main risk for the further growth of the Chinese economy is the crisis in the construction sector and the slowdown in the EU economy. We maintain a medium-term negative outlook on the Chinese stock market.
