14.12.2015 - Royal Dutch Shell will fire 2800 workers

Royal Dutch Shell plans to cut 2800 jobs after the merger with BG Group next year. As a result, it plans to cut about 3% of the workforce on a background of falling oil prices, which declined to its lowest level since February 2009. This reduction would be in addition to cuts in the number of jobs by 7500 announced this year. We positively assess the effect of spending cuts and mergers, but the negative dynamics of oil market will continue to put pressure on the price of the company in the coming months.
