15.05.2014 - German GDP grew better than expected

The Federal Statistics Office in Germany has published data on the increase in GDP growth in the 1st quarter to 0.8%, which is 0.1% better than the forecast of analysts. In the previous period, GDP grew by 0.4%.

The highest increase was recorded in the construction sector and domestic consumption, which compensated a slowdown in the country's exports. Overall, the economy continues to grow steadily in Germany. Among the risks for future growth should be noted, the possible imposition of tougher sanctions against Russia, which is a strategic trade partner for Germany.

We expect a correction on the German stock market and keep a medium-term negative outlook.

Wish you the profits!
