16.02.2016 - Daimler AG will dismiss 1,200 workers
Automotive corporation Daimler AG announced its intention to dismiss 1200 workers in North Carolina, amid falling demand for commercial trucks. The plant is located in Mount Holly will reduce the number of shifts for the remaining 1450 workers to 2 compared with 3 previously. Demand for heavy trucks in the US fell in January by 50% to 18200 compared with the same period last year, due to a slowdown in US industrial production. We expect a continuation of the negative dynamics of the company with the potential of fall by 15-20% in the next six months.
