17.02.2015 - UK inflation slowed to 0.3%

Today in the UK was published statistics on inflation. Thus, the consumer price index fell in January to 0.3% compared to the same period last year. The main reason for decrease in the index was the fall in energy prices. In addition, analysts have noted a decline in food prices by 2.8%. Low price inflation can delay raising interest rates and weakens quotes of the British pound. We keep medium-term negative outlook, but assume the growth of prices in the near future to 1.5500.
