One of the world's largest cigarette manufacturers Imperial Tobacco reported a slight decrease in revenue in the past nine months. The company also announced plans on the completion of the acquisition of American cigarette brands Reynolds American and Lorillard. It is worth noting that in the past month, the company decided to buy some cigarette brands, including Winston, Kool, Salem from Reynolds and Lorillard for 7.1 billion.
The acquisition of new brands will make the company the third largest manufacturer of cigarettes on the USA market. Transactions must be completed before the end of 2015. We expect stable growth of quotations and recommend including the stock in the long-term investment portfolio.
