20.11.2014 - Technical view on stock indexes

The price of the futures on the American stock index S&P500 gradually decreases after reaching the level of 2050. Support for the price is at 2040. At the moment, we see a steady increase in the price, which may continue in the near future. In case of reduction, and fixing the price below 2000, we recommend to open short positions with the targets at 1915 and 1870. Our medium term outlook remains negative, but we do not exclude the further growth of prices in the medium term.

The price of the futures on the German stock index DAX30 after reaching the level of 9500, started to decline, and now has reached a point 9400. In case of fixing above this level, the price will continue to grow with the objectives of 9600 and 9800. The breaking of 9400 will lead to decline of price to 9200. We maintain a medium-term negative view on the quotes and recommend to open short positions if the price fixates below 9200 with the objectives of 8600 and 8000.

Concrete Figures

The price of the futures on the Japanese stock index Nikkei225 continues to move within the corridor 17000-17500. Further growth is limited by the resistance level at 17500, but we expect growth up to 18000 in the near future. In case of reduction of price below 16700, we recommend to close long positions. Our medium-term outlook remains negative and we recommend holding long positions.
