22.03.2016 - The terrorist attacks in Belgium has led to a drop of the pound

Today, the price of the British pound showed significant reduction after the bombing occurred in Brussels at the airport and subway. This event will be negatively displayed on investor’s sentiment in the world, but the greatest impact was to the British pound, as it increased the likelihood of a decision of exit the country from the EU after the referendum, which will take place on June 23. Out from the European Union will be negatively displayed on the UK’s economy and will lead to a weakening of the pound. Our forecast for the pound for the coming months remains negative with the potential of reduction to 1,3500-1,3600.
