26.03.2015 - Retail sales growth in the UK has led to an increase in quotes of the British Pound

Statistics on retail sales in UK today showed strong growth in February, which has led to the growth of quotations of the British pound, which was later offset by positive statics on the labor market in the United States. Thus, retail sales in February increased by 0.7%, against a 0.1% increase in January and the forecast of increase by 0.4%. At the same time, the balance of retail sales improved by 18, which is 2 better than expected. In the near future dynamics of the British pound will depend on tomorrow's publication of data on US GDP growth in the 4th quarter of last year and the speech of the Fed, which can lead to a strong increase in volatility. Our medium-term outlook for the British pound remains negative.
