27.01.2015 - Technical view on stock indexes

The price of the futures on the American stock index S&P500 increased slightly, but was unable to return to the level of 2070. At the moment, quotes show a decrease and in case of continuing the downward movement can reach the levels 2040 and 2025. The rise in prices is limited by historic highs near 2090. We expect the price growth, but do not exclude short-term price decline and recommend holding short positions.

Nearest support levels: 2040, 2025, 1975, 1950, 1915, 1900, 1886, 1860, 1820

The price of the futures on the German stock index DAX30 was unable to overcome the level of 10800 and to continue the growth inside the rising channel. Within the correction quotations may fall to 10500-10600. Strong support level is at 10300. We expect further price movement within the channel. The medium-term outlook remains positive, and we recommend holding long positions with the target at 12000 and the stop below 10200.

The price of the futures on the Japanese stock index Nikkei225 after breaking through the important resistance level at 17550 continued the growth and approached the mark 17800. Currently quotations are corrected downwards and according to our estimates will return to the level of 17550, and then probably will resume growth along the sloping support line. We expect the price growth in the medium term and expect reaching marks 17900-18000 soon.
