The company Virgin America published a report for the 1st quarter according to which the profit increased due to lower fuel prices. Thus, the average price of fuel fell by 36% compared with the same period last year. In general, the company announced earnings of 17.5 million of dollars compared to 12.8 million dollars a year ago. Revenue rose by 11.5% to 364 million dollars. The company's shares may rise by 25-30% due to the possible acquisition by the Alaska Air.
