28.05.2014 - General Electric buys the French company

American corporation General Electric is trying to enlist the support of the French authorities concerning the purchase of Alstom SA which manufactures power equipment, for $ 17 billion. At the same time, the French government has attracted the German company Siemens to bid for the French asset.

At General Electric said they would locate in France 4 businesses, which should alleviate concerns about a possible job cuts in the industry in France.

We expect growth of General Electric shares in the long term.
