31.08.2016 - Unemployment in the euro area was 10.1%

Today in the euro area have been published unemployment data, which totaled 10.1% against the forecast of decline to 10.0%. It should be noted that for the year the number of unemployed decreased by 1,034 million to 16.307 million. The unemployment rate among young people was 21.1%. Given the consistently high unemployment rate in the eurozone, weak growth of macroeconomic indicators and the expected tightening of monetary policy in the US, we maintain a medium-term negative outlook for the euro with the targets at 1.0700 and 1.0550.
